1 The alterations to roof to form a gable extension and rear dormer extension by reason of their design, size and dominant appearance will create an incongruous feature in the street scene. The gable roof and rear dormer extension are out of keeping with the appearance of the street scene. The proposals will have a significant detrimental impact on the character and appearance of the area contrary to part j. of Policy SD4 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan and the aims of the Residential Extensions and Alterations Supplementary Planning Document.
