The hedge in question can be seen identified on the 1856 OS Map and forms the western edge of three rectangular fields enclosed. Set running along the hillside it is considered that the hedge forms an integral part of the enclosure of this area of farmland. The hedge is therefore classed as an Important Hedgerow in terms of Schedule 1, Part 2, Paragraph 5. |
