As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of written representations, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.
The application is available for inspection online and at the offices of Planning Services, Development Management, Seafield House, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar, TS10 1SP. The offices are open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.

| 3 | Prior to installation, full details and/or samples of the gate pillars shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the local planning authority. The development shall be completed in accordance with the approved details. REASON: To safeguard the special character of the listed building, the conservation area and the setting of adjacent listed buildings as required by policies HE1 and HE2 of the adopted Local Plan. |
| 4 | Prior to the commencement of works within the adopted highway, drawings illustrating the design and materials of highway areas the subject of alteration shall be submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. The development shall then be carried out in accordance with the approved with those approved plans. REASON: To ensure a satisfactory form of development and in the interests of highway safety having regard for Local Plan Policy and sections 9 and 12 of the NPPF. |
| 5 | No gate shall be fitted to open outwards over the adjacent public highway. REASON: In the interests of highway safety and to prevent inconvenience and obstruction to other highway users having regard for Local Plan Policy and sections 9 and 12 of the NPPF. |
| 6 | Statement of Co-operative Working: The Local Planning Authority considers that the application as originally submitted did not meet with the local policies and guidance. Following discussions with the applicant / agent a satisfactory scheme has been negotiated. |
| 7 | Informative Note - Interference or alteration of the highway requires a licence under the 1980 Highways Act. The applicant should contact the Highway Authority (tel: 01642 774774) before any work commences on site, also allowing a minimum of 30 days for a Street Works licence. |
