1 The proposed two storey dwelling, due to its proportions, form and detailed design features, would not respect the character of the site and its surroundings and would not improve the character and quality of the surrounding area. The development would therefore be contrary to the aims of parts j and k of policy SD4 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan (2018).
