1 Evidence indicates that the Oak has been previously pruned, crown lifted and pruned back away from the new extension and patio area. In my opinion the application to further reduce and thin out the crown by 30% is excessive, as such work would both diminish the amenity value of the tree and have the potential to weaken the tree and increase the likelihood decay and disease, causing its early decline.
