The loss would have an adverse impact on the character and appearance of the area and would also prove detrimental to the amenity of neighbouring occupiers due to the shape and position of the remaining land. The rear boundary may increase the potential for anti-social behaviour. The application is therefore contrary to policies N3 and SD4 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan
