| 6 | With regard to re-roofing the detached dilapidated stone storage building; as this structure is pre 1947 and is within curtilage, it is listed building in its own right, and listed building consent is required in addition to the planning permission hereby granted, prior to any works being undertaken to this building. Please be aware that the reinstatement of the roof on the storage building will be expected to be carried out in accordance with a detailed method statement to be submitted to and approved in writing by the local planning authority before the roof structure is installed. This can be submitted with the listed building application, or applied as a condition on any listed building consent granted. Additionally, prior to installing rafters within the storage building, samples of all materials including rafters, lats, felt, tiles and rainwater goods will be requested by the local planning authority. These details can be submitted with the listed building application, or applied as a condition on any listed building consent granted. To conclude, re-roofing the dilapidated detached stone storage building requires both planning permission and listed building consent. The planning permission is attached, listed building consent is still required to be applied for and obtained. No works may commence on this building until listed building consent is also obtained. If you require further advice on this matter please contact the Local Planning Authority. |
