| 1 | A programme of monitoring of dissolved oxygen and suspended solid concentrations during capital dredging activities will be agreed with the Local Planning Authority prior to capital dredging operations taking place and thereafter implemented in accordance with the agreed scheme. REASON: To verify the findings of the Environmental Statement and supplementary documents with respect to water quality and sub-tidal habitats, and in the interests of safeguarding the broader estuaries and marine environment. |
| 2 | No development below Mean High Water Spring Tides approved by this planning permission shall be commenced until a scheme for water column monitoring (water quality) and suspended sediment monitoring during dredging/construction has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Once approved the scheme shall be complied with. REASON: To prevent the pollution of the water environment. |
| 3 | No development below Mean High Water Spring Tides approved by this planning permission shall be commenced until a scheme for post implementation water column monitoring has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. Once approved, the scheme shall be complied with unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority. REASON: To monitor the impact on the Tees estuary ecology and water quality. |
| 4 | No development below Mean High Water Spring Tides approved by this planning permission shall be commenced before a report identifying the likely impact of the proposed scheme on the migratory fishery and detailing the mitigation measures necessary to offset and detrimental impact, including a timetable for these measures has been submitted to and approved in writing by the Local Planning Authority. The agreed mitigation measures shall be implemented in accordance with the timetable. REASON: To ensure the resilience of the migratory fishery is maintained. |
