| 1 | The application site is located on the Wilton Industrial site, an area covered by a development management regime based on the Instrument of Consent (IoC) granted in 1946. It is proposed to develop a natural gas fired peaking plant with an energy output of 47MWE. The Local Planning Authority has considered the information submitted with the application and concluded that the application proposes development within Schedule 2 (3a – Industrial Installations for the Production of Electricity) of the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2011 but is development which would not result in significant environmental effects to the extent the development is required to be the subject of an Environmental Impact Assessment and that, in view of this, the proposal is one which benefits from deemed consent under the provisions of the IoC and is a development which is not required to be the subject of a full planning application. |
