| 2 | Within six months of the date of this decision the fence shall be amended to include a chamfer of 1.9m by 1.8m at the point where the driveway meets the back edge of the footpath, as shown on the drawings received by the Local Planning Authority on 15.10.2012, and stained in a colour first agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority. REASON: To ensure adequate levels of visibilty are achieved and in order to mitigate any adverse impact on the character and apperance of the area. |
| 3 | It is considered that the fencing does not raise any issues in terms of neighbour amenity of crime prevention. The height and materials are acceptable and the staining of the fence will result in a boundary treatment which will not cause significant harm to the character and appearance of the area. The chamfer will result in a fence which does not raise any issues in terms of highways safety. The proposal accords with policies CS20, DP2 and DP3 and the Residential Alterations and Extensions SPD. |
