| 6 | REASON FOR DECISION: The application proposes engineering works on an existing site use for the purposes of motocross training. The materials to be sued for the engineering works are the risings from a major development project in Redcar Town Centre. The Local Planning Authority is satisfied that the re-use of the excavated materials complies with the general policy of promoting sustainable development by the use of re-cycled materials. The works proposed are limited in scale and will not, by themselves, adversely impact adjoining occupiers but will increase the height of the eastern bunding further protecting the residents from the effects of the motocross activity. There will be some limited impacts from the movement of HGV vehicles and plant operation on the site but planning conditions will minimise these impacts to an acceptable level. The development is considered to comply with the relevant polices in the Development Plan. |
| 7 | NOTE: The following development plan policies were relevant to this decision:- Local Development Framework Policy CS1, CS2, DP1, DP2, DP3 and DP6. |
