# Condition Details
1 The application site is a dwelling of traditional construction located in the Liverton Conservation Area which is also the subject of an Article 4 Direction. The proposal is to replace an existing timber door with one manufactured in white UPVC and of modern design. The Local Planning Authority considers the alteration to be an unsympathetic addition to the dwelling which fails to preserve or enhance, and therefore detracts from, the appearance and character of the Conservation Area contrary to policy CS25 of the adopted Core Strategy July 2007 and DP9 of the Development Policies DPD July 2007.
2 NOTE: The following development plan policies were relevant to this decision:- Local Development Framework Policy CS20, CS25, DP2, DP3 and DP9.
