1 It is considered that the proposed change of use by virtue of its non-retail use and operating hours would have a detrimental impact on the vitality and the retail character of the Prime Shopping Area in Redcar. As such the proposal is contrary to Policies CS5, CS18, DP2, DP3 of the Council’s adopted Development Plan, Saved Policy SH3 of the Council’s Local Plan 1999 and the Interim Hot Food Takeaway Policy.
2 NOTE: The following development plan policies were relevant to this decision:- Local Development Framework Policies - CS1, CS2, CS5, CS18, CS20, CS25, DP2, DP3 and the Interim Hot Food Takeaway Policy. Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan Saved Policies SH3 and SH7.
