| 2 | REASON FOR DECISION: The proposed advertisement is of a size and type that would not be suitable for permanent display at this almost wholly residential location. However, in this case the advertisement would adjoin a development site, the development site forming the backdrop and as it would not be displayed permanently is acceptable on amenity grounds. Due to the design and siting of the advertisement it is unlikely to create conditions prejudicial to highway safety. The display would not be contrary to the aims of either national or local planning policy as particularly expressed by Policy DP12 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Development Framework and Planning Policy Guidance Note 19: Outdoor Advertisement Control’. |
