1 6. Luminance of the proposed fascia and projecting signs must not exceed 800cd/m². A manufacturers certificate of compliance will be required on completion of installation and prior to the illuminated signs being brought into use Reason: In the interests of highway safety.
2 REASON FOR DECISION: The proposed development is considered to be appropriate within this existing commercial centre. It would not have an adverse impact on the character and amenity of the area. The application does not raise any issues in respect of crime prevention or adversely affect highway safety. The proposal accords with the Council's adopted Development Plan.
3 NOTE: The following Development Plan Policies were relevant to this decision: Local Development Framework Policies DP1, DP2, DP3, DP12, CS1, CS2, CS20 and Supplementary Planning Guidance Appendix 10 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan 1999.
