1 6. The front cover of the advertisement box shall be fitted with non-breakable glass, details of which shall be submitted and agreed with the Local Planning Authority. REASON: To ensure a satisfactory form of development in the interests of safety.
2 REASON FOR DECISION: The proposed notice board is of a modest size and even given the fact that there are other existing signs, it was not considered that it would result in clutter or be detrimental to residential amenity. There are no highway objections to the proposal but it was considered non-breakable glass should be used in the interests of safety and to reduce vandalism. The proposal accords with local and national planning policies.
3 NOTE: The following development plan policies were relevant to this decision:- Local Development Framework Policy CS20, DP2, DP3 and DP12 and Supplementary Planning Guidance Appendix 4 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan.
