| 5 | INFORMATIVE: 1. The proposed covered patio complies with the smoke-free regulations in that it is not substantially enclosed and therefore smoking can be allowed. However the lounge area may be subjected to smoke infiltration from the patio through the rear door and/or window if these are left permanently open. 2. Consideration should be made for the privacy of men using the Gents WC as this window opens directly onto the covered patio. 3. Consideration should also be made to the possibility of noise and/or smell from the Gents WC that may affect customers on the covered patio. |
| 6 | REASON FOR DECISION: It is considered that the proposed development will not cause significant harm to the amenities of local residents or adversely affect the character and appearance of the area. The application does not raise any issues in respect of crime prevention or highway safety. The proposal accords with the Council's Local Plan. |
