| 2 | (2) Noise emitted from the wind generator should not contribute any more than 3 dbA to existing background noise levels when measured at a distance of 1 metre from the façade of any adjacent dwelling and when calculated as an Leq (A) of 10 minutes. REASON: To safeguard the amenities of nearby residents and to prevent noise nuisance. |
| 3 | NOTE: Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan Policies GEN1 & GEN2 were relevant to this decision. |
| 4 | (3) Before the development hereby approved commences details of the turbine shall be submitted to and agreed in writing with the Local Planning Authority. REASON: To ensure a satisfactory form of development. |
| 5 | REASON FOR DECISION: The size and position of the proposed wind generator is considered to be acceptable and will not be visually obtrusive when viewed against the building. It is not considered that noise from the proposed wind generator will have a detrimental effect on neighbouring residential properties. The proposal will assist the school in raising pupil's awareness of sustainability and environmental issues. |
