# Condition Details
1 (1) The development shall not be begun later than the expiration of THREE YEARS from the date of this permission. REASON: Required to be imposed pursuant to Section 18 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
2 (2) This permission relates only to the amended plan(s) received by the Local Planning Authority on 23 August 2006. REASON: For the avoidance of doubt.
3 (3) No part of the war memorial shall be discarded, renewed, altered or added to during the dismantling and rebuilding process without the written consent of the Local Planning Authority. REASON: To safeguard the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building.
4 (4) The approved works are to be carried out in strict accordance with the Method Statement prepared by Jeffrey Tarren & Partners and received on 20 June 2006. REASON: To safeguard the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building.
5 (5) No further names or carved work shall be added to the memorial without the written consent of the Local Planning Authority or a further grant of Listed Building Consent. REASON: To safeguard the special architectural and historic interest of the listed building.
6 (6) This consent shall not be executed unless one month's notice of intent to demolish has been given in writing to English Heritage at York ( successors to the Royal Commission), and they shall be afforded every opportunity to inspect the site during this period. REASON: To comply with the requirements of Section 8 of the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) Act 1990.
7 NOTE: Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan Policies GEN1, GEN2, ENV10 and ENV11 were relevant to this decision.
8 REASON FOR DECISION: The proposed development will preserve the special character and setting of this Listed Building. The proposal therefore complies with Policy ENV10 of the Council's Local Plan.
