# Condition Details
1 (1) The development shall not be begun later than the expiration of THREE YEARS from the date of this permission. REASON: Required to be imposed pursuant to Section 91 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
2 (2) The square base part of the planters should be planted with suitable evergreen or hardy planting to provide an all-year display. REASON: In the interests of the amenity of the locality.
3 (3) The three-tier part of the planters can only be installed on site during the months of June, July, August & September and at all those times must be maintained with suitable planting. REASON: In the interests of the amenity of the locality.
4 (4) The planters should be positioned so they do not obstruct the main 2 metre wide footway and also be set away from the edge of the carriageway by at least 0.5 metres to prevent them being knocked or damaged by overhanging, passing vehicles. REASON: In the interests of highway safety.
5 INFORMATIVE: The applicant should provide an indemnity against any claims arising from the installation and presence of these planters.
6 NOTE: Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan Policies GEN1, GEN2, ENV4 and ENV8 were relevant to this decision.
7 REASON FOR DECISION: The proposed development will preserve the character and appearance of the Conservation Area. The proposal complies with Policy ENV4 and the supplementary guidance of the Council's Local Plan.
