As this is a householder application, in the event of an appeal against a refusal of planning permission, which is to be dealt with on the basis of written representations, any representations made about this application will be sent to the Secretary of State, and there will be no further opportunity to comment at appeal stage.
The application is available for inspection online and at the offices of Planning Services, Development Management, Seafield House, Kirkleatham Street, Redcar, TS10 1SP. The offices are open from 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm on Friday.

| 2 | REASON FOR DECISION: The application is for a pitched roof to the existing garage and kitchen; rear conservatory and canopy over front door. The main issue is the relationship of the development to the adjacent property (46 Coast Road, Redcar). Given that the eaves of the proposed conservatory will be no higher than the existing boundary wall and the pitch of the roof to the existing garage has been kept to a minimum, it is considered that any impact would not be sufficient to warrant refusal of the application. The development will not have an adverse effect on the street scene or raise issues of crime prevention or highway safety. |
