| 3 | REASON FOR DECISION:Members will be aware that the Council has a programme of providing additional security to car parks within the Borough by means of additional lighting and CCTV cameras. An audit of car parks indicated that such measures were required at the car parks at the front at Saltburn. The proposed is to install three columns across the centre (3). In addition a CCTV camera would be installed along the seaward side. Whilst concern has been expressed regarding light pollution the lights would be appropriately positioned to minimise spillage outside the site. The proposal accords with other schemes which have been carried out throughout the Borough and is in line with Council policy of improving safety and security within its car parks. |
