REASON: The site is of archaeological interest. |
| 4 | (4) Prior to the commencement of development, the details of the design and construction of the tennis courts shall be submitted and approved in writing with lpa. The detailed design shall be in accordance with Sport England Technical Design Guidance. REASON: To ensure a satisfactory form of development. |
| 5 | (5) The replacement tennis courts and realigned pitches must be provided and useable prior to the loss of the existing facilities. REASON: To ensure that adequate facilities are provided at all times. |
| 6 | REASON FOR DECISION:The application seeks consent to build a single storey unit adjacent to the main school building. The design of the building is the same as the Humanities block which was built a few years ago and similar materials will be used on the proposed building. The building is well removed from residential properties and is simply to provide improved facilities for existing students. Accordingly the proposed building will not generate additional traffic, which is the main concern of local residents. Indeed Technical Services advise that there are no objections from a highway point of view. Sport England originally objected to the scheme but are now satisfied that sports pitch provision will not be affected by the scheme. The proposal is considered to be acceptable. |
