The proposed replacement windows by virtue of their planted-on moulding constuction and uniform reflection likely to accrue from a single expanse of external glazing would wholly destroy the delicate and non-uniform character and appearance and fabric of the existing windows and overall appearance of the dwelling. As such the proposals would be contrary to policy BE3 of the North York Moors Local Plan which seeks to ensure changes to listed buildings will only be permitted where there would be no unacceptable impact on the character, setting, appearance of fabric of the building. |
