# Condition Details
1 (1) The proposed extension due to its size, siting and location in close proximity to nearby residential properties would result in overshadowing and loss of light to the detriment of the amenity the occupiers may reasonably expect to enjoy. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy GEN1 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local plan 1999.
2 (2) The proposed extension constitutes overdevelopment of the site with the result that inadequate recreation space would remain for the residents of the nursing home and this would be detrimental to the amenities they may reasonably expect to enjoy.
3 (3) The proposed extension would result in an additional seven residents being accommodated at the premises and a consequent increase in vehicular traffic visiting the premises. The premises are located on a busy road where additional vehicles manoeuvring on and off the highway would be likley to result in conditions prejudicial to highway safety. The proposal is therefore contrary to Policy GEN1 of the Redcar and Cleveland Local Plan 1999.
